Landscape

Jordan Pond was formed by glacial activity during the last Ice Age. The pond stretches about 3.6 kilometers (2.3 miles) in length and reaches a depth of 46 meters (150 feet), making it one of the clearest and deepest bodies of water in the park. Its exceptional water clarity, with visibility often exceeding 40 feet, is carefully protected.
